From the cellar to the cloud.

I didn't take the usual route into engineering. For fifteen-plus years I led sales teams, ran wine programs, and worked the floor in high-end hospitality — fields where the details are the difference and “good enough” isn't. The work kept pulling toward systems — I built the authenticity and fraud-prevention process behind a fine-wine auction marketplace, moved into precision x-ray and vision inspection technology, then ran cloud and on-prem infrastructure as a Director of IT. Four years ago I turned that same obsession fully toward building software and the cloud infrastructure it runs on.

Today I build cloud and AI systems end to end: regulatory-intelligence and exam-prep platforms on Blazor and .NET, retrieval-augmented AI on Azure, and the infrastructure and endpoint automation that keeps it all running. The hospitality background turned out to be the advantage — I think about the person on the other side of the screen, and I own the whole system, not just the code.

  3. Defense Technology Contractor

    Cloud Engineer & Software Developer · Contract

    Contract engineering for a defense-technology client. I built and maintain a cloud data-ingestion pipeline moving telemetry from managed field endpoints to Azure for real-time processing and storage; device and headset diagnostic applications that surface operational status into Azure for tracking and alerting; a custom PowerShell kiosk-management suite for remotely configuring and monitoring field-deployed kiosks; and Intune-based fleet management — all under strict reliability and data-integrity requirements.
